As chief of Software Division successfully developed & marketed Software Solutions through (Product) to automate Branch operations of Banks in India. The product was supplied , installed & serviced with about 200 branches of about 25 major banks in India. Participated in Business negotiations with Itochu Corporation Japan to undertake joint venture in the business of ATMs, Cash Dispensers & other products useful in Banking industry. Was member of Steering committee for ISO 9000 certification process.

Gulf Computers Ltd : (1990-95)
In this Dubai based company , having its offshore work facility in Mumbai , successfully commenced the operations of on site consultancy for its customers in the middle east. Successfully opened the Branch office in Boston to undertake professional services business in USA The business was further extended to Europe , particularly to customers in UK, & Portugal. Initiated ISO 9000 Quality procedure.

International Data Management Ltd (IDM) : (1986-1990)
IDM was the organization formed by IBM Senior Managers in India when IBM was Ousted from India in the year 1978.
• Successfully supported the software Export business for IDM.
• Established a joint venture with NRI company in USA to execute offshore development work in the area of GIS ( Geographical Information System) This involved setting up the facility in Export Processing Zone (SEEPZ) Selection of appropriate Software like Arc Info from ESRI, California, establishing methodologies & executing the work of digitizing USGS paper maps with set of 60 software engineers & set of CALCOMP Digitizers, Plotters, Tektronix workstations
• Visited countries like Oman, Dubai & Srilanka
• Was advisor to a major finance corporation in Srilanka i.e Mercantile Corporation For reengineering of their applications from System 32 ( RPG) to        System36 ( COBOL)

Was initially responsible for handling customers through the Data Center operation in servicing About 15 to 20 corporate customers for processing the data for their commercial applications like Financial Accounting, Sales, Costing & Budgeting , Payroll etc. On site Consultancy & execution of project for customer in Scotland Traveled extensively in the middle east countries like Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Muscat for business development & execution of projects like Feasibility study for Duty Free Shopping Complex at Dubai International Airport. Crompton Greaves Ltd : ( 1972-82)
Career started as Design Engineer for 3 phase electric motors. Extensively used the inhouse computer ICL 1901 to program performance calculations of Induction Motors using Fortran II. & Fortran IV Being in inhouse EDP designed, developed and implemented almost every possible commercial & technical applications in the Crompton Group of companies. To name a few , Sales & Distribution Application, Purchase Planning, Inventory Control, Shop Floor Production Planning, Scheduling, Costing & Budgeting, Financial Accounting , Payroll & Human Resources , all these being integrated. Some of the important technical applications computerized include Transformer ( Large Power & Distribution Transformers) Designs, Lighting ( Indoor & outdoor schemes) Layout designs with Isolux Diagrams Travelled to UK to understand the Procedure s & Systems at Crompton Parkinson , Guisley, UK
